Beech Hedging planted west of the bus shelter

300m of beech hedging was planted on Tuesday last, 31 Mar 15, Tuesday along the roadside to the West of the bus shelter. We now have planted more than 3,000 beech hedging plants on the approach roadside.
A successful, stimulating and well attended Water and Energy Reduction Seminar took place in the Community Centre on Thurs last.
Cork Co Council Environment Dept asked Glounthaune Tidy Towns to host a photoshoot last Monday to mark the An Taisce National Spring Clean 1st-30th April. A large group including schoolchildren assembled for the photo shoot hosted by Sarah McGovern, National Spring Clean organiser and Dr. Mary Stack, Environmental Officer, Cork Co. Council.
The weekly Clean Ups began last Wednesday and continue each Wednesday. Meet at the Tree at 7.00 pm!
Next week is Tidy Towns fundraising week. There will be a Coffee Morning in the Rising Tide on Wednesday next 8th April. The Annual Church Gate Collection will take place in Glounthaune at next Sat and Sun masses.
